Joseph Sampson Beal (1814-1885) was the son of Thomas Prince Beal (1786-1852) of Kingston, Mass. Like his father, Joseph was a lawyer and a member of the Mass state Senate (1878).
Joseph was married to Pamela Holmes (1816-1886) in 1846.
