The 1842 New Haven directory lists Gardner Morse as collector of taxes at 75 Chapel. Not listed in the Calvet Hahn census in The Penny Post. CDS is very faint JAN can be identified. Pushing the image through color filters reveals the 8 below the A but that is hard to see in this image. |
