Addressed to Master Anthony Dey, Care of Jos. W. Scott Esq., New Brunswick, N.J. (The Dey and Scott families were prominent in New Jersey legal and social circles).
EBAY lot (Superior Stamps)
William T. Crowe cert 22,274 (May 5, 2023) 9x1a, 5c black, 1846, New York, NY Postmaster Provisional signed ACM, AC connected. It is a genuine stamp, genuinely used on a circa 1847 cover addressed to New Brunswick, NJ. The stamp, which has extraneous manuscript ink at the top, with a blue manuscript cancel and tied by a red New York Apr 10 5 paid town marking. The cover with the correct matching arced PAID at the center.
