Drop letter addressed to Alexander Randall, Attorney at Law, Annapolis, Md. The blue seal at the left is the same marking used on the 5c 2XU1 Annapolis postmaster provisional stationary where it is printed in carmine red.

VERY FINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE USE OF THE ANNAPOLIS POSTMASTER'S SEAL AS A POSTMARK ON A LETTER ORIGINATING OUTSIDE ANNAPOLIS AND POSTED AS A DROP LETTER.
With 1962 P.F. certificate. Scott footnote values the blue circle at $3,000.00 with "2" handstamped rate and at $3,500.00 with "5" handstamped rate, but does not list the manuscript "2" drop rate.
