1847, 5¢ deep orange brown, the stamp is Extremely Fine with large margins to full, ample at bottom left, with an early impression on such a par with a proof that one can imagine it being from the first sheet printed, lusciously rich color on fresh paper, a sensational stamp under glass, tiny scissor cut in margin does not touch frameline, on small cover with blue "Auburn N.Y. Jan 27" (1848) cds to Aurora, N.Y., tied by beautiful "Ec" manuscript cancel in thin black flowing cursive, Extremely Fine with outstanding eye appeal.
