Letter to Daniel Lassell (1804-1889), a merchant in to town of Lassellsville, NY. His father, William, bought 50 acres of land in Fulton County in 1805 and formed the town. N historical marker says the town contained a tavern, a store, a blacksmith shop, and a wagon factory. Today, Lassellsville is part of Saint Johnsville, NY.
