PF 70356 #1a, genuine use on cover
Alexander listed as 12/14/49 from Providence Pa to Wilkes Barre Pa but…
1. He also has another listing 8/15/48 Unknown to Wilkes Barre Pa addressed to A. T. McClintock with the same PF # in the notes
2. This cover is clearly endorsed Providence Pa (December) 1849 at upper left (upper image)
3. This cover does not match the one sold in Bennett sale 262 lot 256, Bennett sale 212 lot 28 and Harmer sale 2316 lot 113 which has a cds at left and ms 12/14 written in with a different stamp, which is upside down (lower image, ref)
This cover is clearly the one authenticated by the PF so I took the PF # off the Bennett / Harmer cover, took the PF # off the 8/15/48 cover (which may exist but does not match the PF listing) and added a third listing for this cover with the PF #.
