Letter to Dr. Gilbert Rodman McCoy (1816-1882), a physician in Doylestown who arrived in 1849, taking over the practice of Dr. Matthew after he died. The house Gilbert took over on Main Street across from the Courthouse is now referred to as the McCoy House. Dr. McCoy practiced there until he died in 1882. (Doylestown Old and New, p298)
