Lot 10061 10c Black (2). Large margins to barely clear at top, trace of adjoining stamp at bottom, tied by blue "Paid" in oval, matching "Philada. Pa. 10cts Sep. (2)3" (1847) integral-rate circular datestamp on folded letter to Hopkinsville N.Y., ink smear at top, Very Fine,

The cover is addressed to Kentucky, and not New York.
The CDS is clearly doubled with a 2nd lighter image shifted upwards and slightly to the right, most evident in the D in Philada and the P in SEP. The date number does not show the doubling. The only visible digit is not a 3 but an 8 centered below the gap between E and P. The Siegel catalog description states the missing digit is a 2 but I cannot see any trace of it.

Letter clearly shows the date of mailing as 9/28/47
Letter signed Addicks, Vandusen & Smith with contents asking if a debt has been collected.
The 1848 edition of McElroy's Philadelphia directory lists Addicks, Vandusen & Smith as shoe sellers at 159 High Street. Also at that address are John E. Addicks, Samuel B. Vandusen, and Thomas B. Smith.
