1847 US Cover w/ SC# 1a Blackish Brown Benjamin Franklin 4 Margins - to NYC
June 6, 1847 [sic] Cover with SC# 1a, 5c Franklin in Blackish Brown. Nice stamp - has all 4 margins. Addressed to New York City. With contents.

Not listed in Alexander
Since the contents are included (but not shown) on the EBAY listing, the correct date is most likely June 6, 1849. An 1847 mailing is impossible (the stamp was release on July 1, 1847 in New York, and later in Albany). Likewise, 1848 is unlikely as an 8 would probably not be misidentified as a 7. However, a hastily written 9 could easily look like a 7.
Interestingly, the census has a listing of a cover from NYC to Albany mailed on June 7, 1849, in agreement with the note on the reverse - "answ'd 7 June.". Unfortunately, that listing has only a partial image and doesn't show the addressee.
