There is some doubling of the date in the cds with one image somewhat rotated. The first number is clearly a 1. The second number has a horizontal bar on top and a rounded curve at the bottom, making it a 3.
Letter to Samuel Wiley McAliley (1799-1880), attorney, State Senator and Assemblyman, pro-union during the Civil War, and one of the few men considered for Governor during Reconstruction.
