Lot 12814 1847 5c. red-brown used on cover from Providence to New Haven, Conn. and tied by small circled grid handstamp in red, red "PROVIDENCE R.I./FEB/..." c.d.s., with almost even wide margins all round, colour reduced in lower part but still an attractive stamp on a fine cover. M. Brettl certificate. (Scott #1 on cover: $2400)
