There is no indication this letter traveled through the US Mail. Manuscript, untied cancellations are not typical of either New York City or Philadelphia
Letter addressed to Peter McCall, attorney, at 100 South 4th Street in Philadelphia (1850 McElroy’s) and written by William Kemble, merchant, at 79 West Street in NYC (1849 Doggett’s).
