It is a genuine usage tied on a folded cover by a blue cds cancels.

The cover reverse reads $71.64 Draft / L. Schuster & Co. / Wm. H. Blair/ 6 March 1849.
There is no March 1849 cover listed by Alexander from Philadelphia to Bellefonte. There is a 3/7/50 listing but Alexander also notes the stamp is cancelled by a blue grid.

Letter is datelined Philadelphia March 6, 1849 and was signed L Johnson & Co.
Contents refer to collecting a debt between the firm of Harris, ?, & Hale against Wm. H. Blair for $71.64 plus interest and a collection fee.
The 1849 edition of McElroy’s Philadelphia city directory lists a William H Blair as a tea dealer at 33 South Front Street.
L Johnson & Co were a stereotype manufacturer at 6 George Street, operated by Lawrence Johnson (1801-1860).
