The 1848 Boston City Directory lists Francis Minot (1821-1899) as a physician at 120 Charles Street. A graduate of Harvard (1841), Dr. Minot was a consulting physician at Massachusetts General Hospital.
The 1849 Baltimore City Directory lists James Rudolph Partridge (1823-1884) as an attorney at 40 Lexington. He was also a graduate of Harvard, class of 1841. He was a member of Maryland state house of delegates from Baltimore city, 1856; secretary of state of Maryland, 1858; U.S. Minister to Honduras, 1862; El Salvador, 1863; Venezuela, 1869; Brazil, 1871-77; Peru, 1882-83.
