Lot 777 5c Red Brown (1). Horizontal pair, full margins to clear in places, tied by deep red “Medina C.H. Ohio Jul. 9” (1850) circular datestamp with second strike to left on folded cover to the Secretary of the American Bible Society in New York City, light file fold creases the pair neatly between the stamps, upper right margin of right stamp slightly creased from placement over edge, appears Very Fine, Medina Courthouse received no 1847 stamps, this is the only 1847 cover recorded from this town (USPCS census lists none)
