United States. PA. Philadelphia, PA. Philadelphia Co. (open 1775+). Dated 1848/02/09. Two strikes of blue cds tie 10c (#2) on folded letter with short message mentioning an enclosure (not included). The stamp with four margins from close to well clear.

The cds strike on the stamp looks like FEB 9. The upper strike above the stamp looks more like FEB 8, with the 8 superimposed on the A in PhilAda. There is a slight indentation on the right side that makes it appear more like an 8 than a 9
