Lot 29 Five-Cent 1847 on Cover, group of 12 covers, all single usages, including Northern R.R., Boston and Fitchburg R.R., two "Way" covers, under 300 miles to Canada, etc. Mixed quality, two with PF certs.

Letter sent to Colonel James Duncan Graham (1799-1865). In 1850 Col. Graham was part of the survey team establishing the boundary of Delaware, Maryland & Pennsylvania. Earlier in his career he made similar surveys to establish the border of Texas and Mexico as well as Maine and Canada.
This is very likely an 1850 usage.
