Lot 1859 1, 1847 5c Red brown, VF single, large margins nearly all around, showing traces of adjacent stamps at left and right, tied by red grid on 1850 FLS to Boston, matching partial "New York Express Mail" 10/15/(50) CDS, light vertical folds not affecting stamp, VF cover.

Isaac Livermore (1797-1879) rad a dry goods business, was a wool merchant (1826-1846), treasurer of the Manchester Print Works (1846-1852), and treasurer of the Michigan Central Railroad Company for over 21 years. He was also a judge and involved in Cambridge city politics, director of the City Bank and the Bunker Hill Monument Association, director of the National Insurance Co., etc.
