PSE Certificate 101696 (8/7/03) states US 1a 1847 5c grayish brown, it is a genuine usage on a folded letter sheet tied by a red square grid cancel.

Lot 3179 1a, 1847 5c Grayish brown, tied to folded letter by red square grid cancel with matching "New-York" postmark and Oct 3/48 docketing on back, addressed to Wareham, Mass, a little light staining at right and typical file folds (neither of which are mentioned on certificate), stamp has three clear ample to large margins and partly cuts in at lower left, overall Fine, 2003 PSE certificate (Scott $875 without premium for this better shade)
