Notes
Type: First US Stamp, Franklin Sc. 1, on Jan 2nd 1848 single folded letter from Boston. Tied by a red cancel to cover and contents relate to a business proposition. For color it is probably a dark brown or brown for those interested in color study of this issue.
Condition: Would have been a stunning 4 margin example if it hadn't have lost the right corner along the way. Still an excellent reference copy on original cover with unique history.
