Letter addressed to Christopher L Ward, a lawyer in Towanda Pa. He had the largest and best selected library in northern Pennsylvania. This library was purchased of his estate by his daughter, and donated by her to Lafayette College, at Easton, Pa. Mr. Ward was president of the old Towanda bank in 1838-42, president of the Bradford County historical society, and at one time chairman of the national Democratic committee.
