Romulus Mitchell Saunders (3 March 1791 - 21 April 1867), former member of the US House of Representatives from North Carolina (1840) was Minister to Spain (1846-49). His daughter, Jane Claudia Saunders married BRADLEY T. JOHNSON on 3 Jun 1851 from Frederick, Maryland, USA. Bradley probably wrote the letter and the first name of the addressee is probably a variation of Jane.
