Letter to George Gill Mounsey (1797–1876) was a prominent attorney, solicitor, and antiquarian based in Carlisle, England, active around 1850. He belonged to a distinguished local family, practiced law, managed the Shaws (Spa) Hotel estate, and authored historical works on the Barony of Gillesland.
George was a member of the Carlisle city council from 1836 to 1876 and served as Mayor (1835-36, 1841-42).
He married Isabella Heysham on 6 September 1827 in Saint Cuthbert's Church.
