#2, 10c Black, three-margin copy on small cover to Ithaca, New York, central pen cancel and matching "Beltsville Md./Novbr 7th" ms. postmark, this tiny town received no 1847 stamps and this is undoubtedly the only known usage of the 1847 Issue from this post office, it is not listed in the new 1847 cover census, in fact out of the nineteen Maryland communities reported with 1847 covers, only five had 10c values used from them, this makes the sixth, as one would expect 95% of those were used from Baltimore, cover has light folds, fine for this; an important item for the 1847 and/or Maryland postal history collector
