Pearce and Wallingford was a prominent private banking house established in Maysville, Kentucky. The institution was organized by Charles Bridges Pearce (a prominent local wholesale dry goods merchant) and members of the Wallingford family, including Joseph H. Wallingford, who moved to Maysville in 1848.
Charles B. Pearce eventually bought out his partners to become the sole owner. He later converted the private institution into the State National Bank of Maysville, serving as its president and principal stockholder.
