1847 5c Red Brown Franklin Single on Folded Letter from Baltimore, Maryland
1847 5c red brown four-margin single tied by blue grid cancel on folded address sheet with original letter inside. Matching blue March 18, Baltimore, Maryland circular date stamp cancel at far left. Additional letter from same correspondence accompanies this 1847 Issue folded cover and letter to Washington County, Pennsylvania. Two light stain spots at top of stamp do not detract from this very fine piece of 1847 postal history.
