The cover is accompanied by a “Rare Stamp Acquisition Program” certificate (No. 9900769) stating United States, Scott #1, orange brown Franklin, issue of 1847. Two stamps on cover, one stamp is four margin, the other is just short of that. This cover was sent from Baltimore to Nova Scotia. Marked as going on the ship Africa and then changed to the Cambria. Backstamped in Halifax on May 30, only 4 days after mailing. It takes longer today!
The card is inscribed 1988 Calhoun’s Collectors Society Inc.
Alexander listed as 5/26/51 but to the wrong addressee.
