Clinton Wright Anderson and his cousin, Robert Clinton Wright, were both in the shipping business and there are many letters from the late 1840’s and early 1850’s between the two in Wright’s papers. Wright was involved in exporting coffee from Rio to the US and Anderson worked for Kelly & Conyngham in New Orleans
