1847, 5¢ red brown (No. 1), large margins to clear, red "5" handstamp, on cover to Freiwaldau, Silesia, originally postmarked Dec. 4, 1850 from Baltimore with manuscript "Due 16" with balance to be paid in cash, endorsed "American Steamer" at top, due marking deleted along with "Paid" handstamp in red and endorsement, stamp placed at right, postmarked again on the 8th, manuscript "per Liverpool steamer" with last word deleted, "via Berlin" in corner, manuscript due markings (British "1/4", Prussian "46" S gr.), reverse with British transit and red "America per England" in box and straightline "Freywaldau" with Dec. 28 date, Fine and most unusual usage.
