1847, 5¢ dark brown (No. 1a), ample to huge margins including right sheet margin, touched at top, stunning color and impression (appears to be from the same sheet as the Oct. 21 1847 Brunswick cover), cancelled by perfect strike of 11-bar open grid in red on 1848 folded letter to Newport, R.I., "Brunswick, Me. Mar. 1" c.d.s at left, fresh and Fine.
