1847 10c black Washington (Scott #2) single tied by neat criss-cross manuscript cancel on 1849 dated folded cover sent from New Orleans, Louisiana to Richmond, Virginia. Accompanying partial black New Orleans circular date stamp cancel at top. The stamp features a deep color and ample margins all around. A extremely fine 1847 Issue folded cover sent within the Southern United States during the Antebellum Period of American history. 2010 Philatelic Foundation Certificate (PFC)
