Notes
10c black, on a small neat cover to New Orleans, canc. and tied by black Way 11 Cents, the stamp has a small tear at T, the only recorded example of this pmk on a 10c ’47. Lot also includes a stampless cover from the same correspondence with the same Way 11 Cents marking, originated from Galveston, Tex (Nov 11, 1848)
