#1 5c Brown, ample to large margins, tied by blue 8-bar square grid cancel, matching Maysville Ky., Aug 15 pmk, on 1848 folded letter to Cincinnati; there are some ink specs at right of which two are on the stamp, the stamp also has a faint filing crease in the left margin, otherwise Very Fine, the only known example of this cancel
