John W. Andrews (1811-1893) was a lawyer in Columbus, the junior partner with Joseph Rockwell Swan (1802-1884). Their firm existed from 1845 thru 1854, when Judge Swan was elected to the Ohio Supreme Court. John is known for giving an anti-Nebraska Bill speech (Feb 14, 1854), which would have repealed the Missouri Compromise of 1820. He was also a founding member and Columbus director of the US Sanitary Commission. He was a trustee of Starling Medical College (predecessor to the Ohio State University Medical College).
John G. Holloway (Sept 2, 1802 – January 1871) was a landowner and grower of cotton and tobacco. He was also a politician representing Henderson County in the State Legislature of Kentucky. He served in the House of Representatives in 1843 and the Senate in 1844-1848.
