Horizontal pair, mostly large margins just in top left, handsome color and superb impression, tied by pen cancel, on 1850 folded cover to Louisville, blue "STEAM" manuscript "pr. Magnolia" at upper left, horizontal crease through pair, Very Fine appearance. Estimate $1,000-1,500

Letter may have been written to William F. Pragoff (1836-1907). Born in Cioncinnati, William moved to Louisville as a child with his family. William engaged in the tobacco business with Richard Usher under the firm of Pragoff & Usher.
