1847, 5¢ red brown (Scott No. 1). With wide sheet margin at right, large to clear margins on other sides, bright shade, tied by manuscript. "X", with well struck red "Farmington Iowa Apr 23" c.d.s., on 1850 folded letter to Naperville, stamp has pre-application crease at lower right and tiny tear at bottom, contemporary docketing at right just crosses sheet margin of stamp additionally tying it to the cover, Very Fine usage.
