Letter was then sent to J. M. Burris in Hartford and datelined LaSalle, Ill June 25, 1851 and again signed by N. O. Kellogg.
Upon receipt in Hartford, Mr Burris evidently endorsed the letter "N. O. Kellogg" and "June 26, 1851)
So was this letter mailed in May 1851 or did the LaSalle postmaster use MAY instead of JUN in his cancelling device?
