Endorsed Received Monday Jan 21 on reverse which makes this an 1850 usage.
Letter addressed to Johanna Mary (Dodd) Mead, wife of Theodore Mead (1819-1995). Mead entered West Point in the Class of 1840 and served in the army until 1857. He later became a bookkeeper and accountant and served as assistant Postmaster of Newark under his father, Jacob Mead.
