1847, 10¢ black (Scott No. 2). Position 54R, large to enormous margins showing portion of adjoining stamp at top, tied by two strikes of red grid, matching "Roswell Ga. Feb 25" c.d.s. on blue envelope to Darien, stamp has small tear in margin at top well clear of design, still Very Fine and scarce intrastate usage of the 10¢. Estimate $1,000-1,500 .
