Alexander listed as 5/18/xx
Based on the cover dates and docket numbers, Rhodolphus Swift was in Olive Grove, Ga between Jan and March of 1851 and was in Apalachicola, Florida in mid May 1851.
5/15/51 docket # 45 from Apalachicola recd 5/28
5/19/51 docket # 46 from Apalachicola recd 5/28
5/22/51 docket # 48 from Apalachicola recd 6/5
5/26/xx docket # 50 from Apalachicola recd 6/5
If the letters are docketed in the order received, this one should be #47. It seems unlikely that Mr Swift went to Olive Grove on 5/18 and then returned to Apalachicola the next day.
It is possible that he gave the letter to someone else who did go to Olive Grove and mailed the letter on 5/18.
If the docket numbers are the order in which to covers are written, this one might be #44 and was written before 5/15 but not mailed until 5/18.
