Notes
Scott #2, untied, cancelled by circular grid cancel to MAR 17 cover from Tallahassee, Fl to North Fairhaven, Mass. From the Swift correspondence.
Alexander 958 listed as 3/17/xx
PF 19486 #2, genuinely used
Year undated in the Susan McDonald article (Chronicle 107, p158) but probable 1848 use.
There appears to be some evidence of faint docketing at the left (similar to the 3/24/48 cover) but it is too faint to read.
This cover currently resides in the Charles A. Hirzel collection in the Museum für Kommunikation in Berne, Switzerland.
