Envelope posted at Key West prepaid 10 cents with 2 x Scott 1. Carried on route operated by Mordecai, Goudin & Co. under Foreign Mails Act of 1845, from Charleston via Savannah and Key West to Havana. Cover picked up en route to Havana and landed at Charleston to be transferred to Spofford, Tileston & Co\'s steamboat running Route 3197 to New York
Schuyler J. Rumsey Inc. sale 57 lot 4066 lists this cover as an 1849 use.
