EARLIEST FLORIDA 1847 COVER
The earliest date on my list of 27 Florida covers is April 5, 1848. This envelope is from the extensive Captain R. N. Swift correspondence as are two other covers on the Florida list
Mrs. Swift carefully numbered each letter in sequence and noted the date it was received
This cover is numbered 25 on the back. Swift covers of later dates are usually numbered on the front at the left.
