Samuel Poultney Todd (1791-1858) is listed in the 1850-51 Brooklyn City Directory as being in the US Navy. He was a purser. He was married to Rebecca Ann Dawson (1790-1861). They originally lived in Washington DC but later moved to Philadelphia and then to Brooklyn.
