Joseph Nason (1815-1872) is listed at (James Jones) Walworth & Nason at 22 Devonshire in the 1849 Boston city directory. They were engineers and iron tube manufacturers. Joseph Nason is credited in bringing steam heating from England to the United States. He founded Walworth and Nason in 1842 with his brother-in-law. (James Walworth (1808-1896) married Elizabeth Chickering Nason in 1837.) They provided heating to the new House and Senate buildings in the US Capitol in 1855.
