Feb. 6 circular datestamp on 1849 folded letter addressed To the Post Master, New York City, content refers to recently-published list of letters held for delivery at New York and provides forwarding address for one, stamp with minor wrinkling, cover with minor wear and file fold well clear of stamp, Very Fine, a very unusual use, this could have been sent free as it is addressed to a postmaster and contains official business, see also lots 2354 and 2415....
