Description: Letter from Norwichtown CT to Wilkes Barre PA where it was forwarded by the Wilkes Barre post office to Harrisburg PA. 5 cents fee due for forwarding. Manuscript For'd. Norwichtown and Wilkes Barre town marks.¨During this period letters that required forwarding to locate the addressee required that additional postage be paid to cover the cost of forwarding.; If the forwarding distance was under 300 miles 5 cents was charged and 10 cents charged for forwarding over 300 miles.
