1847, 5¢ red brown (Scott No. 1). Single with huge margins showing parts of four adjoining stamps, just touched bottom right, tied by blue grid, matching "Norwalk Ct. Aug 20" c.d.s. on 1850 folded letter to Rye, N.Y., manuscript "Paid" in corner; cover with a few expertly removed toned spots at top, stamp untouched but with small tear at top right, Very Fine appearance. Estimate $400-500
