Lot 2919 #1 var 5c red brown, showing what appears to be a double transfer in “Office, this could be a smear or other type of printing flaw but there are several marks especially in the letter C that are so strong as to argue for a double transfer, a three margin copy tied to clean 1850 entire folded letter to Birmingham by red circular grid and matching New Haven, Ct. cds at left, fine and worth of study.
